Our History:
Small Business Technology Solutions was established in the summer of 2008 as an alternative for small businesses with either a business technology problem or looking to bridge the gap into today’s communication world. Founders and owners Michael Peterman and Robert Novak III created the idea of the business shortly after Robert graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Both Michael and Robert felt that small businesses were not getting the attention they needed in helping them compete within this local economy.
Michael and Robert have many years working with various types of business technologies, such as network systems, wireless systems, web servers, and office productivity packages. During college both Michael and Robert had been individually running businesses, supporting various clients with their computer and technology needs. Determining that working together would be a lucrative endeavor, they decided to form a single company. They opened up two offices in both Kenosha and Janesville WI, choosing these locations because they were perfectly situated between many large metropolitan cities and covering a large area of great smaller communities.
The Kenosha office is only about 1 ½ hour from Chicago, IL and is about 45 Minutes away from Milwaukee, WI. The Janesville, WI office is only 40 minutes away from Rockford, IL and about 35 from Madison, WI. Currently Small Business Technology Solutions is spending time looking into more unique ways of marketing themselves direct to the small business, non-profit and consumer markets. By looking to new ways of marketing themselves via their website, Facebook page, LinkedIn profiles, company blog and twitter both Michael and Robert have found a very cost effective way to get important information to their various demographic markets.
By being a small business themselves, Small Business Technology Solutions feels it has an upper hand to their competition, by being able to adjust to a very fast paced changing market. As well as allowing their services portfolio to expand as their clients make requests for new projects, and ideas.
